About Us

Brief History

The idea of Canada (East) Films Inc. was first conceived in the 90's. It began with formal training in the field of film, digital imaging and video production by its president and founder, Michael Stephen McKinnon. After years of training and development through courses and practical experience, the company was officially formed in September 2007. In 2009, Hazel McKinnon, Samantha Davis and John G. Calver became the newest executives of Canada (East) Films Inc. We intend to expand our professional relations further, and recruit a strong and committed staff.

We have completed a 45 min special called Spirit Cove, a documentary called Beaubear's Island and are in negotiations for a new film to begin shooting in 2010.
